This piece is part of my Ruling the Roost collection, where personality, attitude, and a bit of humor come into play. There is something undeniably bold about this one. A sense of presence, maybe even a little swagger, as if it knows exactly who is in charge. It brings a playful confidence into the space, something that feels both grounded and full of character.
This work begins as an original painting and is reproduced on archival paper, then mounted to a tin ceiling tile with a hand-painted, antiqued border. Made using ceiling tiles produced from original late nineteenth-century dies, each piece carries a sense of history while remaining bright, bold, and full of joy. As far as I know, there’s nothing else like them anywhere.
