This piece is part of my Ruling the Roost collection, where personality, humor, and a bit of attitude come together. There is a playful confidence here that feels larger than life. This work begins as an original painting and is reproduced on archival paper, then mounted to a tin ceiling tile with a hand-painted, antiqued border. Made using ceiling tiles produced from original late nineteenth-century dies, each piece carries a sense of history while remaining bright, bold, and full of joy. As far as I know, there’s nothing else like them anywhere.
