This piece is part of my Light Wings collection, where small, often overlooked moments take on a sense of wonder. There is a quiet calm here, the kind that settles in at the end of the day when everything slows down. The dragonflies feel suspended in that in-between space, where light softens and the world becomes a little more still, a little more reflective.
This work begins as an original painting and is reproduced on archival paper, then mounted to a tin ceiling tile with a hand-painted, antiqued border. Made using ceiling tiles produced from original late nineteenth-century dies, each piece carries a sense of history while remaining bright, bold, and full of joy. As far as I know, there’s nothing else like them anywhere.
