This piece is part of my Feathered Friends collection, where connection and storytelling often find their way into the work. There’s something about this moment that feels familiar. A parent guiding, the young ones listening, all of it wrapped in patience and instinct. It speaks to growth, learning, and the quiet passing of something important from one to another.
This work begins as an original painting and is reproduced on archival paper, then mounted to a tin ceiling tile with a hand-painted, antiqued border. Made using ceiling tiles produced from original late nineteenth-century dies, each piece carries a sense of history while remaining bright, bold, and full of joy. As far as I know, there’s nothing else like them anywhere.
