This piece is part of my Light Wings collection, where transformation and movement are often at the heart of the work. There is something powerful about the monarch. It carries a sense of change, of becoming, and of moving through the world with purpose. This moment feels alive with motion, as if everything is in the process of shifting into something new.

This work begins as an original painting and is reproduced on archival paper, then mounted to a tin ceiling tile with a hand-painted, antiqued border. Made using ceiling tiles produced from original late nineteenth-century dies, each piece carries a sense of history while remaining bright, bold, and full of joy. As far as I know, there’s nothing else like them anywhere.
