This piece is part of my Feathered Friends collection, where bold color and personality take the lead. Peacocks have always carried a kind of unapologetic presence, and that is what drew me to this subject. There is confidence here, a sense of movement, and a willingness to be seen. It feels celebratory, almost like the bird knows exactly who it is and is not afraid to show it.
This work begins as an original painting and is reproduced on archival paper, then mounted to a tin ceiling tile with a hand-painted, antiqued border. Made using ceiling tiles produced from original late nineteenth-century dies, each piece carries a sense of history while remaining bright, bold, and full of joy. As far as I know, there’s nothing else like them anywhere.
