This piece is part of my Ruling the Roost collection, where humor, personality, and a sense of curiosity come together. There is something playful here, a feeling of searching for something just out of reach, or maybe something larger than life. It has a bit of mystery to it, mixed with bold energy and a character that feels both expressive and unpredictable.

This work begins as an original painting and is reproduced on archival paper, then mounted to a tin ceiling tile with a hand-painted, antiqued border. Made using ceiling tiles produced from original late nineteenth-century dies, each piece carries a sense of history while remaining bright, bold, and full of joy. As far as I know, there’s nothing else like them anywhere.
